Tale Of A Ballerina!

This photo is from Wikipedia!

There once was a little girl who wanted to be a ballerina!! Her mother thought it would be good to start her out in ballet lessons at a very young age. So before she started school, she was in a ballet class. She learned a lot about dance. Not only ballet, but tap dancing too! She worked so hard to perfect her talent and was so excited to have her first recital!! Mom and Dad were excited too! They took along the movie camera to capture the recital on film for future use! There was even a group photo taken of the class! She was so proud!

What a cute group of little girls, don't you think?

One day the little girl asked her Daddy if they could see the movie he made of the recital. She was so excited and so the little girl exclaimed "Daddy, daddy, which one is me?" Daddy tried to be as discreet as possible and so he said "just watch honey....you'll know which one is you. You're the one that is always going the wrong way!"
Well, that's the story of MY ballet lessons. That was also the end of MY ballet lessons. Can you tell which one is me?
Yep, it's me!! Standing tall and proud! And I'm even standing the right way!! LOL Do you have a story to tell about lessons you took as a child? (P.S. I can't believe this photo is 50 yrs. old!!)

No pic's though, thank goodness! Not to mention I alwas got in trouble for sneaking to the other side of the rink to play with the hockey boys!!

  2. Haha! I actually took some ballet and tap dance lessons too when I was a child. Went to a modelling school (or whatever you call it) but only was there for 6 months. I remember I enjoyed the dance lessons, not the ballet though ;) but quit because we had to learn french (which is a pretty language but so damn hard) LOL

  3. Michele, I'm so happy you shared that with me!! Too bad there's no pics. I would have loved to see them! I also took roller skating lessons as a kid and was good at that! No pics there either, thank goodness! I appreciate your comment!

  4. Mariann it's nice to know I wasn't the only one in ballet and tap. I enjoyed the lessons too, but was no good at it as you read! LOL Yes, I agree that French is a beautiful language. Always wanted to learn it.

  5. You gave me a smile, you little ballerina you! Who knew?!!! :-) I love learning new things about you!!...I was moving around and had such a traumatic childhood that I never had dance lessons or anything formal like that...Would have cost too much money. I did take singing lessons when I was in Junior High School, (I paid for it myself!) and played basketball for the High School. Yes, I have pictures...sadly!! ^_^) In Georgia, at one time, I was a cheerleader and a pom pom girl. (We scavenged enough dough together for one year. :-/) NO PICTURES...that I know of anyway... Thankfully!!...I look forward to your new revelations!! :-)
