Here we have my hubby and grandson as we walked the boardwalk out to the end of the pier and back.
Here is my cute little granddaughter enjoying the walk as well!

In this photo, my two sons on the right, my daughter-in-law and our friend from Ecuador were walking to the end of the pier. When we got there, I took this photo:
Here is my oldest son and his lovely wife at the end of our pier! It was such a beautiful evening and the sunset was outstanding as you can see from the photo below:
I love this photo so much I set it as my wallpaper! This is our channel that leads out to the "big lake!" Lake Michigan, that is! On the right is the fisherman's pier. On the left (out of the photo) is our pier and lighthouse! It's gorgeous!
While they were here, we went to several bead stores and got some wonderful beads to create with. In this photo, my daughter in law and grandson are "creating." He loves to "help." And now below are just a sample of the creations I've made with the new beads we acquired. These are not yet in my Etsy store, but will be there before the week is up!
We went to a local bead store that was having a Kazuri bead Trunk show! I have a weakness for Kazuri and so I made these earrings and the ones below with them!
If you would like to know more about Kazuri beads and where they come from, check out this website: http://www.kazuribeadseast.com/
I also found this great lampwork bead and the other turquoise beads and just knew they would make a gorgeous purse/zipper pull!!
And lastly, I fell in love with these Abalone beads and made them with sterling silver. I LOVE these!!

So as you can see, we had a full 3 weeks....loaded with fun and good times! I'm sorry to see them go back (they live in Mexico most of the year), but I look forward to being able to visit them before the year is over! I hope you enjoy all the time you're able to spend with your loved ones too. It's precious and priceless!! Don't ever take it for granted.
Oh, Bead, your photos of the pier are gorgeous! Makes me want to move to Michigan. Me and hubby loved all of the water and waterfalls we saw in the Upper Peninsula a few years back when we were on a trip for a friend's wedding. It's a beautiful state!...And your beads? And your daughter-in-law? ALL beautiful!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Wug!! I am going to add a photo of the pier on the pretty side later. I didn't take one that day. I also forgot to add photos of our jewelry sale! I have them, just forgot. It was way too late last night. I'll blog about them tomorrow or Friday.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing the pier and the sale pictures!!!! Can't wait! :-))
