A few weeks ago, my daughter-in-law, a friend from Ecuador and I had a small handmade jewelry sale at my house. We set it up in my garage a bit like a garage sale. Wow!! It was fantastic! We sold a LOT of items and so it was very worthwhile setting everything up. Here are a few photos of what it looked like after we set up.
Not too attractive, is it? Just a garage with tables. Here are some more detailed looks:
This is the table our friend ( my other daughter-in-laws sister) from Ecuador set up. The necklaces in the front were handmade crocheted wire necklaces made by her. The earrings and scarves were handmade by other Ecuadorians. They were all awesome! I even caved and bought a scarf from her!! I'm not a scarf person!!
My daughter-in-law, Clare, makes awesome jewelry!! Her things were laid out on the right side of this table. She sold the majority of what she had out there! Yay Clare!! The other side were some of my necklaces.
My son wanted in on a piece of the action, so he put out this custom rug he made for my grandson. Cool, isn't it!! A lot of people took his cards!!

I ran out of tables, so I used these! Did the trick. I sectioned it off and put a basic price for certain things. You'll see what I mean in the next couple of photos.
You can see the sections a bit better here. I had $8 sections, $10, $12, $14, etc.!
I even had a $5 section in the tray!! I sold MOST of what was there! I really made out well! Sold at least 24 items all together! I also advertised it in the newspaper. Next time I'll put up brochures in store windows if I'm allowed to.
As you can see, I'm thinking that maybe I should do that again! I would love to move a few more items in my shop.
That is how it looked and what I did. Hope it gives any of you who were thinking about trying one, the incentive to go for it!!!

Excellent! What a good idea to use the TV trays too!...Too bad I didn't get a look at those scarves before she sold them all! :-)...I'm glad this worked out for you. I hope mine goes as well! Thanks for sharing!
