My Life Is SO Uninteresting!!

I was sitting here waiting for my floors to dry and decided I needed to take advantage of the time and maybe write something interesting here. Problem is...I'm not very interesting!! Tee Hee! My life is uneventful, my photos are uneventful and so is my jewelry! Want proof????? Well look at this photo:

These are the ONLY earrings I haven't listed yet. You want to know why??? BORING!!!
If you really want interesting as well as entertaining, take a look at this photo:

Now THIS could make life a bit more interesting!! Tee Hee!! Or maybe this:

May have to be a two-fer!!! Even adults need a good spanking from time to time:

Ha ha ha!! Makes me laugh out loud!!
But THIS one is the best, I think:

Isn't this a riot???? Could happen, you know!! Better hang on to your butt!!
So what's so funny about these? I don't really know! My son sent these to me once, and I had to keep them. Hopefully I haven't posted them wrongfully. I think he found them in his clip art. But I love them!! Makes me feel better.....how about you??

THE DAY WE HAD OUR JEWELRY SALE!

A few weeks ago, my daughter-in-law, a friend from Ecuador and I had a small handmade jewelry sale at my house. We set it up in my garage a bit like a garage sale. Wow!! It was fantastic! We sold a LOT of items and so it was very worthwhile setting everything up. Here are a few photos of what it looked like after we set up.

Not too attractive, is it? Just a garage with tables. Here are some more detailed looks:

This is the table our friend ( my other daughter-in-laws sister) from Ecuador set up. The necklaces in the front were handmade crocheted wire necklaces made by her. The earrings and scarves were handmade by other Ecuadorians. They were all awesome! I even caved and bought a scarf from her!! I'm not a scarf person!!

My daughter-in-law, Clare, makes awesome jewelry!! Her things were laid out on the right side of this table. She sold the majority of what she had out there! Yay Clare!! The other side were some of my necklaces.

My son wanted in on a piece of the action, so he put out this custom rug he made for my grandson. Cool, isn't it!! A lot of people took his cards!!

I ran out of tables, so I used these! Did the trick. I sectioned it off and put a basic price for certain things. You'll see what I mean in the next couple of photos.

You can see the sections a bit better here. I had $8 sections, $10, $12, $14, etc.!

I even had a $5 section in the tray!! I sold MOST of what was there! I really made out well! Sold at least 24 items all together! I also advertised it in the newspaper. Next time I'll put up brochures in store windows if I'm allowed to.
As you can see, I'm thinking that maybe I should do that again! I would love to move a few more items in my shop.
That is how it looked and what I did. Hope it gives any of you who were thinking about trying one, the incentive to go for it!!!

I'm A Terrible Blogger!!!

I'm a terrible blogger!! Look how long its been since I posted!! Shame on me! But I have been busy with my son and daughter-in-law while they've been here the last 3 weeks to visit. They leave tomorrow...a sad day for us, but all good things do have to come to an end. Here are some things that we did and saw while they were here.

Here we have my hubby and grandson as we walked the boardwalk out to the end of the pier and back.

Here is my cute little granddaughter enjoying the walk as well!

In this photo, my two sons on the right, my daughter-in-law and our friend from Ecuador were walking to the end of the pier. When we got there, I took this photo:

Here is my oldest son and his lovely wife at the end of our pier! It was such a beautiful evening and the sunset was outstanding as you can see from the photo below:

I love this photo so much I set it as my wallpaper! This is our channel that leads out to the "big lake!" Lake Michigan, that is! On the right is the fisherman's pier. On the left (out of the photo) is our pier and lighthouse! It's gorgeous!

While they were here, we went to several bead stores and got some wonderful beads to create with. In this photo, my daughter in law and grandson are "creating." He loves to "help." And now below are just a sample of the creations I've made with the new beads we acquired. These are not yet in my Etsy store, but will be there before the week is up!

We went to a local bead store that was having a Kazuri bead Trunk show! I have a weakness for Kazuri and so I made these earrings and the ones below with them!

If you would like to know more about Kazuri beads and where they come from, check out this website: http://www.kazuribeadseast.com/

I also found this great lampwork bead and the other turquoise beads and just knew they would make a gorgeous purse/zipper pull!!

And lastly, I fell in love with these Abalone beads and made them with sterling silver. I LOVE these!!

So as you can see, we had a full 3 weeks....loaded with fun and good times! I'm sorry to see them go back (they live in Mexico most of the year), but I look forward to being able to visit them before the year is over! I hope you enjoy all the time you're able to spend with your loved ones too. It's precious and priceless!! Don't ever take it for granted.
